The Santana Dotson Foundation is a 5013c non profit organization established in 1995 in order to provide financial, emotional support and enriching activities for challenged yet deserving students so they might realize their potential and allow them to enjoy positive outlets. Founder Santana Dotson is a Baylor graduate and Super Bowl Champion. He played 11 illustrious years with 3 teams. (Tampa Bay, Green Bay and Washington).
The foundation was originally mentored by All Sports Community Service, Inc, a non-profit organization founded by former Chicago Bear, Tyrone Keys and Jerry Ulm, Sr., to serve “at risk” youth. It is based out of Tampa Florida, where Santana played his first four years in the NFL as a starting defensive lineman for the Buccaneers.
The Santana Dotson Foundation awards 5 to 10 academic scholarships per year as well as supporting community kids with athletic camps and clinics along with cultural enrichment.
The Foundation has also assisted the students via the All Sports Community Service, Inc. with:
. Academic tutoring
. SAT and ACT testing preparation
. Employment opportunities for students wishing to work to help support their families.
. Community service- All participants are required to perform a minimum of 10 hours of community service per semester.
